Small Business Banking Partnership
In June of 2011 Everett Bank partnered with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts by joining the Small Business Banking Partnership. The program, launched by the State Treasurer’s Office provides community banks with state owned deposits. Banks in turn commit to make loans to small businesses which helps create jobs and stimulate the local economy. Due to the program’s success in October 2012 Everett Bank received a second state deposit under the Small Business Banking Partnership Expansion Program of 2012.
Joseph D. Keohane, Executive Vice President & Senior Loan Officer announced that for the twelve months ending December 31, 2020 Everett Bank made forty-four loans totaling $18.2 million that fit the criteria for the small business program.
