Credit Analyst (Commercial Lending-Credit)

Everett Bank is looking for a Credit Analyst to support our Commercial Lending team. In this role, you’ll evaluate financial strength, identify credit risks, and provide analysis that drives informed lending decisions. You’ll play a key part in maintaining the quality of our loan portfolio and supporting our growth strategy, while working closely with experienced lenders and credit leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports to assess borrower risk.
  • Prepare clear credit memoranda for loan requests, renewals, and modifications.
  • Identify loan policy exceptions and recommend risk-mitigating factors.
  • Assign and verify borrower risk ratings in partnership with the SVP of Credit Risk.
  • Track covenant compliance and annual borrower financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with lenders to request and review updated financial information.
  • Maintain knowledge of credit policies, banking regulations, and compliance standards.

Minimum Requirements (education and experience)

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in banking, credit, or financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial spreading software.

Work Conditions

  • Professional office setting standard business hours, Monday through Friday.
  • Position requires extended periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
  • Occasional lifting of files, banker’s boxes, or office equipment up to 20 lbs.
